PALACE Victor J., DDS, age 73 of Upper Saddle River died Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Beloved husband of Catherine (nee) Auer. Devoted father of Christopher Palace and his wife Amy of Ringwood. He was predeceased by his son Victor A. Palace in 2005 and is survived by his daughter-in-law Martha also of Ringwood. Loving grandfather of Jake, Margaret and Morgan Palace. Dear brother of John Palace, Angelina Schaffer, Mary Sperling, and the late Thomas Palace. Victor graduated from Xavier High School in New York City in 1953. He continued his studies at Georgetown University where he received his bachelor's degree in 1957. Later, after completing his Masters at Fordham University, he returned to Georgetown University where he received his dental degree in 1963. Following his studies he served 4 years in the US Air Force during which time he was stationed in Vietnam. In 1968, following his discharge from the Air Force, Victor began his dental practice in Wyckoff where he continued until his retirement in 2008. Along with his many dedicated years to the community, Victor also served as a member and past president of the Wyckoff Lions Club, and was also the Past Chairman of the Hudson River Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. A lover of the outdoors, Victor spent many days hunting and fishing and always enjoyed taking his catch back to his kitchen where he would create a culinary masterpiece. A memorial service in Victor's memory will be held on Monday, June 15 at 11 AM at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River.
